🌌 There’s a starman waiting in the sky...
6th Jun 2019
Months of hard work and preparation have paid off! Our weather balloon was launched on Tuesday 4th June from Dungannon Park. As well as the cameras and trackers, we sent up a bunch of grapes in the payload to see how they would be affected by a journey to the edge of space. They came back frozen! After a lot of tracking, we chased the balloon the whole way to Benone and it was recovered from a field not far from the beach. Now time to look at the data collected on the journey. Have a look at one of the spectacular photos taken from the weather balloon at the dizzy heights of space!
