Erasmus: Animal Assisted Education
Day 4 at Tullynewbank Stables
Today we learned how to plait a mane, we would do this when getting a horse ready for a show! It was tricky, we really had to use our fine motor skills.
We discussed the signs of good health in horses and checked some of them to see if we thought they were healthy.
We learned more about horses behaviours and expressions and also thought about our own behaviour and expressions.
We got to turn Mudge out into a field, catch him, and bring him in again! Did you know it’s important to check the field first for dangers?
It was a little too cold to bath the horses outside so we watched a video inside in the warm tearoom which showed us everything we needed to know!
We had lots of fun again! Look out next week to see what new things we learn!
