Meeting the Education Minister

One Equine Trust hosted a visit from the Education Minister at Tullynewbank Stables on Wednesday 1st Dec.  Thank you to Charles and Simone McCambridge for facilitating the visit. The Education Minister heard from representatives from residential children’s care homes who have experience of Simone delivering equine facilitated learning sessions to their young people.  She also spoke with Diane Jones from Clady Farm equine learning centre along with Nicci Hall an equine assisted learning facilitator.  We also had representatives from the RDA. Miss McCormick spoke to the group about the Erasmus+ project Ballymacrickett PS is running, and their involvement in Equine Assisted Learning at Tullynewbank Stables. Some of the boys and girls from P5 came down and demonstrated what they’ve been doing, chatted with the Minister and told her how exciting our project is!
