Over the past number of weeks the primary fives have been learning some first aid skills through the Heart Start Programme. The boys and girls completed training in the conscious casualty,the unconscious casualty, serious bleeding, suspected heart attack and choking. Our caretaker, Chris, also gave a hands on practical lesson on how to put people in the recovery position and how to administer CPR. The children found these lessons really interesting and of course are now in a position to offer some assistance to their friends and family if they become unwell or have an accident.
