Dr Linda Oyama, from Queen’s University Belfast, travelled all the way to Ballymacrickett’s very own ‘laboratory’ to help our P7 scientists investigate the importance of washing our hands.
And after an overnight wait - the results were in....can you see the difference? By looking closely we were able to conclude that our hands were cleaner after washing and sanitizing as there was less growth of bacteria on the second Petri dish compared to the first which was from a hand not washed.
