The children in P5 have been developing their first aid skills over this past term as part of a programme called Heart Start. They now know how to react in emergency situations and how to deal with choking, serious bleeding and even heart attacks. Today the course was finished off with a lesson from our caretaker Chris, who ably demonstrated CPR. Thanks to Chris and also Dara from P7 who volunteered to be the patient. The children loved practising on the ANNIES and are well equipped to deal with some serious incidences that may happen in their lives.
