P5 Release trout into Glenavy River
The P5 children have been watching trout grow in the classroom for the past number of weeks. They've seen them transform from eggs into little fry. The Glenavy Conservation and District Angling Club organsied the Love our Water- Love our Fish Project which was funded by NIEA. Children were asked to create a poem about our fish to help us choose who should release the fish into the river. The winners really enjoyed getting the opportunity to release the fish and see them swim away. The club chose Daniel Dorman as best overall poem and he was presented with a special prize. Thank you to The Glenavy Conservation and District Angling Club for allowing us to be part of the project.
