The P5s had a great day of activities with the children from Ballinderry PS. We had a visitor from the charity Hope 365 who told us how Street kids survived in Ethiopia. The children were shocked by the basic conditions that these children have to endure on a daily basis living in simple basic shelters with no food, no where to clean themselves and no luxuries like toys and a change of clothes.
The children then got to make their own shelters which helped them understand the conditions the street children from Ethiopia had to live through. Other activities then included developing our map making skills and creating rockets. Everyone enjoyed the various outdoor activities and worked well together in our groups.
